TruTV Basketball Announcers And Commentators

TruTV basketball announcers are Ian Eagle, Kevin Harlan, and Tom McCarthy. Ian will be in his first NCAA tournament as a lead play-by-play.

March Madness, also known as the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, is a knockout tournament played in the United States.

This championship defines the Division I level men's college basketball national champion in the NCAA. The name March Madness is because most of its games are usually played during March.

Initiated in 1939, this NCAA tournament features the knockout rounds between 68 teams, incorporating 32 Division I conference champions and 36 wild card entry teams.

The UConn Huskies won their 5th title after a 76-59 win against the San Diego State Aztecs at NGR Stadium on 3 April 2023. 

TruTV is set to telecast the First Four and First and Second Rounds games, while TBS will broadcast the Final Four and Championship during the 2024 March Madness.

CBS will feature the Regional Semifinals, Finals and Selection Show, and round games.

March Madness's first and second rounds are played among 64 and 32 teams, respectively, usually in their respective regions. The announcers vary per region.

The 55-year-old American announcer is the lead voice for the MLB's Philadelphia Phillies and the NFL's Westwood One. He previously led the voice for Saint Joseph's University women's and men's basketball teams.

Ian Eagle is the lead play-by-play voice for the 2024 March Madness. He will call the First and Second rounds, the Final Four, and the National Championship with his team.

The Miami, Florida native sportscaster, Eagle, is the play-by-play announcer for the NBA games on TNT and college basketball games on CBS. He will announce the 2024 Madness on TruTV nationally.

Brian Anderson belongs to the TruTV NCAA tournament announcers team for the First and Second rounds of the Madness. He calls the MLB games on TBS alongside his Warner Bros. Discovery Sports duties.

Anderson has been the lead voice for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball on Bally Sports Wisconsin broadcast since 2007.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin native radio and television sports announcer, Kevin Harlan, calls the tournament's First and Second Rounds on TruTV at a defined region.

He called the 2023 NCAA tournament's First and Second rounds at Orlando, Florida, on TruTV, while called the West Regional games at Las Vegas, Nevada on CBS and TBS.

Harlan also served as the radio voice of Westwood One, March Madness' exclusive radio broadcast network, until 2008 for the tournament's Final Four coverage.

Brad Nessler is the play-by-play voice of the college basketball and college football games for CBS Sports. He is one of the TruTV NCAA announcers, calling the First and Second round games.

Nessler rejoined CBS Sports as the lead voice for SEC college football games for the 2017 season and called his first March Madness game on TBS in 2018.

Previously, he served for CBS Sports in 1990 and 1991 as a play-by-play voice for NFL games, women's and men's college basketball, and college football.

Spero Dedes is the NCAA March Madness voice for the tournament's first and second-round games on TruTV. He calls the game with his team of Debbie Antonelli and Aj Ross.

The Paramus, New Jersey native sportscaster Dedes serves as the voice for the college basketball and NFL games on CBS Sports and NBA games on Turner Sports.

He called the New York Knicks games on television and radio and served as a lead voice for the Los Angeles Lakers on radio before joining Turner and CBS.

The Orange, New Jersey native analyst Raftery is the 2006 Curt Gowdy Media Award winner and the 2015 National Sports Media Association Hall of Fame inductee. He has been awarded the Sports Emmy Award four times as an outstanding sports event analyst.

The former NBA shooting guard Jim Jackson is the TruTV NCAA commentator for the broadcasting team of Brian Anderson.

He will aid Anderson in calling and analyzing the 2024 tournament's First and Second rounds and Regional games. Jackson is the basketball analyst for Turner Sports, Fox Sports, and NBA's LA Clippers on Bally Sports West.

Alongside Raftery, Grant Hill also serves as an analyst for the 2024 March Madness in Ian Eagle's broadcasting team. He is the former NBA all-rounder who led the association with several career-high records.

Hill joined March Madness's lead broadcasting team in 2015. Jim Nantz was the team's lead voice, succeeded by Ian Eagle after the 2023 tournament.

Avery Johnson is a college basketball and NBA analyst for CBS Sports. He will analyze the 2024 March Madness's First Four with Tom McCarthy as a color commentator.

The former NBA player and coach, Avery, will also serve as a fill-in analyst for the tournament's first and second rounds in Lisa Byington's broadcasting team.

As a head coach of the Dallas Mavericks from 2005 to 2008, Johnson led the team to their first NBA Finals appearance in 2006.

Jim Spanarkel is a television commentator for the college basketball games on CBS. He will serve as one of the TruTV NCAA commentators during the 2024 March Madness.

In the 2023 NCAA March Madness, Spanarkel was Ian Eagle's broadcasting team analyst. However, with Ian succeeding Nantz this season, Spanarkel will be on another team, the details of which aren't available currently.

The Deborah Lynn, Mulligan native basketball analyst, Debbie Antonelli, is a commentator for Westwood One, FOX, CBS, Big Ten Network, and ESPN. She also calls the Women's National Basketball Association games on NBA TV and ESPN.

The Inside March Madness show hosts on TruTV are Ernie Johnson Jr. and Adam Lefkoe. The show will air the game's key moments' replays.

TruTV will feature only the 2024 NCAA tournament's First Four and the First and Second rounds. The "Inside March Madness" will air post-game analysis, key moments replays, player interviews, and more.

Ernie Johnson Jr. is the studio host for the post-game show on TruTV. He serves as a play-by-play voice and a host on TBS for MLB and hosts the "Inside the NBA" post-game show on NBA TV and TNT alongside his TruTV duties.

He began his broadcasting career as the sports and news director for the WAGQ-FM radio station in Athens. He started hosting the "Inside the NBA" show in 1990, marking his 33rd season with the NBA on TNT.

Johnson is the lead studio host on TruTV/TNT/TBS/CBS for the NCAA men's basketball tournament, alongside hosting the post-game show on TruTV.

Adam Lefkoe is the current NBA host on TNT each Tuesday. He has been with the Turner Sports family since 2013, appearing on TNT in 2019 as a guest host.

Before working with Bleacher Report, he served as a reporter in Kentucky. Lefkoe helped Bleacher Report grow before joining TNT.

He works as a fill-in studio host for the "Inside the NBA" show on TNT whenever Johnson isn't available, alongside his Tuesdays duties.
