New Orleans Pelicans Announcers And Commentators 2023-24

New Orleans Pelicans announcers are Joel Meyers and Todd Graffagnini for the 2023-24 season. Graffagnini is a radio play-by-play announcer for the Pelicans.

The Pelicans announced their television and radio broadcast teams and schedule for the new season on 18 September 2023.

Bally Sports will be broadcasting most of the scheduled regular season games this time either on Bally Sports New Orleans or through the Bally Sports app.

Meyers will return as a play-by-play announcer alongside his partner and color analyst, Antonio Daniels.

Their duo will be supported by a sideline reporter for the team, Jennifer Hale, who is in her 12th season as a reporter for the NBA.

As far as the radio network is concerned, the Pelicans radio broadcasting team will be led by Graffagnini alongside analyst John DeShazier. 

Erin Summers returned for her 3rd season as a sideline reporter for the team. Fans can also tune in to 99.5 WRNO for the pre-game, half-time, and post-game updates provided by host, Gus Kattengell.

Pelicans TV Announcers 2023-24

Pelicans TV announcer in the 2023-24 NBA campaign is Joel Meyers who is in his 12th season for the Pelicans broadcasting team. 

Meyers has been there with the franchise broadcasting panel for almost 12 years since 2011. He brings up his 25 years of broadcasting experience to the team this season.

Meyers debuted as an announcer in NBA during 2003 for the Los Angeles Lakers radio where he served till 2005. He then got promoted to Laker's TV broadcasting team in 2005 and served till 2011. 

He joined the Pelican's broadcasting team in 2011 after leaving the Lakers. 

Joel has won two Emmy Awards during his team as LA's TV play-by-play man and also served for four years for the Spurs TV broadcast before joining the Lakers.

Having gained more than 30 years of broadcast experience, he has also called college football, college basketball, and professional golf for more than a decade. 

Meyers also has worked with NBC covering NFL games, two Olympic games as well as NBA and golf games. 

He currently calls Big 12 Conference college football games for FSN and NBA games for ESPN radio. 

He has also called for 1st Round games for the 2014 NBA playoffs on TNT partnering with Chris Webber and 2020 with Greg Anthony.

Radio Announcers 2023-24

Pelicans radio announcer is Todd Graffagnini who is in his 5th season for the team this season.

He will be alongside the analyst DeShazier who will be supporting Todd in his announcing duties.

Before joining the Pelicans, Todd served as a full-time baseball radio play-play announcer at Tulane University since 1994. and the "Voice of the Green Wave" from 2007-19 calling college NCAA men's basketball, and baseball games. 

Graffagnini has also served as the studio host for the New Orleans Hornets between 2002-05 as an announcer and color analyst for the MiLB baseball team New Orleans Zephyrs in 2001.

Antonio Daniels - TV Color Commentator and Analyst

Antonio Daniels serves as a color analyst for the Pelicans in his fourth season of tenure. 

Daniels is also a former NBA player who played 61 games with the New Orleans Hornets during the 2008-2009 season. 

He joined the Bally Sports Pelicans broadcast team as a studio analyst after serving for Bally Sports Oklahoma and Southwest from 2015 to 2019.

Selected by the Vancouver Grizzlies as the 4th overall draft pick in 1997, Daniels played in the NBA for 14 seasons till 2011.

He won an NBA title with the Spurs in 1999 and has also played for teams like the Portland Trail Blazers, Seattle Supersonics, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Hornets, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Antonio averaged career numbers of 7.6 points, 3.4 assists, and 1.8 rebounds in 872 regular season games.

As a broadcaster, he has previously worked as an analyst on SiriusXM NBA radio as well as the co-host for a Radio talk show on KZDC ESPN San Antonio.

John DeShazier - Radio Commentator and Analyst

DeShazier is in his 11th season with the Pelicans radio broadcasting team and serves as the color analyst. 

Before joining the Pelicans, John was a general sports columnist and the primary sports writer for The Times-Picayune newspaper from 1992 to 2012.

In his 20 years of tenure, he has covered every news and scores updates on events including the NBA finals, The Super Bowl, the NBA All-Star Game, and the NCAA Final Four.

He was honored by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association having written the top high school column in the state.

New Orleans Pelicans Reporters

Jen Hale and Erin Summers serve as the sideline reporter for the Pelicans broadcasting team in 2023-24.

Jen Hale provides in-court reports from the sideline for the TV broadcasting team whereas Summers serves for the Pelicans radio broadcasting team.

Jen Hale returns as the sideline reporter for Pelicans on Bally Sports New Orleans broadcasts this 2023-24 season.

In addition to her NBA duties, she also serves as a sideline reporter for NFL On Fox, studio host on FS1 show Skip and Shannon.

Hale is an award-winning journalist and initially started her career as a political reporter before joining as a sports anchor for WVUE, Fox 8.

She has also won multiple Edward R. Murrow Emmy and AP awards in her career. 

Serving as a sideline reporter, she earned her Master of Science in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago.

Besides reporting, she has also written her book, Historic Plantations of Alabama's Black Belt in 2009 and is now working on her second publication.

Erin Summers is in her second season as a sideline reporter for the Pelicans radio team. 

In addition to reporting duties, she also appears on The New Orleans Pelicans podcast presented by Seatgeek and also hosts the New Orleans Saints podcast.

She began working as a reporter in 2020 on Behind the Lines, which covers service academy football teams and their news.

Summers has also worked as a sideline reporter, analyst, and host for ESPN, ACC Network, and other regional networks like ACC, Big South, SoCon, and North Carolina high school sports.

She will be reporting to the Todd and John DeShazier in the radio broadcasting team this season.
