CBS college basketball studio analysts comprise Seth Davis, Dan Bonner, Steve Lappas and Wally Szczerbiak. Davis is also a sports writer for the Athletics.

CBS Sports is a sports broadcasting media company located in New York. It is owned by the paramount Global.

The enterprise has been providing games-related content to the audience since 1955. A dedicated network for college sports was acquired in 2008.

It was named the CBS sports and it broadcasts the NCAA and college basketball games. However, the channel was previously named the National College Sports and was established in 2002.

The firm has recently joined hands with TNT to broadcast the NCAA games together. Most of the announcers of the game for both the company now are the same.

The UConn are the recent NCAA basketball champions of 2023. They defeated San Diego to clutch their way to the title.

Kenny Smith

Smith is one of the CBS NCAA basketball analysts for the men’s division. He is also a host for the Inside the NBA show.

The former NBA player joined the broadcasting industry in 1998. He started his career on the Turner networks as a studio analyst in the NBA playoffs.

Kenny was working along with Shaq, Barkley and Johnson Jr. in the Inside the NBA show. They were even awarded the Emmy Award for their studio performance.

The 6-foot-3 former player joined CBS Sports in 2005 as an analyst for the NCAA Division I games.

Clark Kellogg

Kellogg is a CBS college basketball analyst who joined the network in 1993. He was a former player for the Indiana Pacers.

The former power forward primarily joined ESPN in 1990. He started as a specialist of the game for the network.

Later on, after 3 years, the announcer from Ohio joined CBS Sports in 1993. Initially, Clark was serving as a game analyst of the NCAA tournaments.

Eventually in 2008, Kellogg was appointed as the lead basketball analyst for the broadband. He had replaced Billy Packer for this role.

The 6-foot-7 former player had also been involved as a commentator in 2012 NCAA games. Hence, after so many events with the media company returned to his previous role as a studio analyst in 2014.

In addition to that, he was also involved with the 2k29 as a co-commentator along with his partner Kevin Harlan in 2008. The 2k franchise and he have been connected for every release since then.

Charles Barkley

Barkley joined the media industry in 2000 as a studio analyst. He is a former NBA power/small forward.

He played with three different teams in the NBA in his whole career of 16 years. He was even named the MVP of the league in 1993.

However, he left his playing career and joined a broadband. He initiated his journey with the Turner Televisions.

He started working as an onsite game specialist in the NBA games. He is also part of the NBA crew along with Kenny.

Eventually, in 2011, Barkley served as a studio analyst for the NCAA men's division. Both the TNT and CBS had joined together to broadcast the games.

It was his first time with the CBS team. Since then, Barkley has been with the network in the final four matches.

Grant Hill

Hill is a former NBA player for the Clippers. He ended his career as a professional player in 2013.

Immediately after his retirement, the 51-year-old started his broadcasting journey. He started as a host for the show The NBA Inside Stuff on NBA TV.

Later in 2015, Grant joined the network as the lead of the announcing team. He was covering the NCAA men’s tournament.

In addition to that, he was also involved in the March Madness broadcasting along with his partners Jim Nantz and Bill Raftery.

Dan Bonner

Bonner is a commentator and an analyst for the broadband company. He joined CBS back in 1985.

Dan is a former college basketball player and coach for the University of Virginia. He was a player for the college from 1971 to 1975.

After his retirement, he was an assistant coach for the women’s teams of the same college from 1975 to 1977.

Eventually, after joining the network, the 6-foot-7 was on the broadcasting team of the college basketball games. Later in 1991, he started to comment in the NCAA games.

His partnership with Kevin Harlan is one of the most iconic duos In NCAA commentary history. They were paired together from 2004 to 2012 and again are together from 2015 till now.

Dan is also involved in other broadcasting works like in ACC baseball, women’s college basketball and others.

AJ Ross

Ross is a reporter for CBS Sports. She is involved in reporting from the sidelines, in post-match interviews and even the game reports.

She initially joined the company back in 2018 as a sideline reporter for the NFL. Later she transitioned to college basketball games along with the NFL and WNBA.

AJ in 2019 as a freelancer started working with the MSG Network to cover the NY street football games. Not only that but she was a media journalist for the WMBF news too.

From working as a production assistant for ESPN to becoming a news anchor, she has done everything in the broadband industry

Andrew Catalon

Catalon is a March Madness announcer for the network. He is also involved in the NBA, NFL and college basketball on CBS.

Initially, he started as the sports director for WVNY from 2001 to 2003. After his departure from the company, he joined WNYT as their weekend sports anchor.

Later in 2012, he was offered a part-time role to report to the Mountain West Conference on CBS. Eventually, he joined the network as a full-time on the 19th of July 2013.

On the 22nd of March 2014, Andrew got his first proper opportunity of announcing the March Madness. Mike Gminski was his partner for the event.

Catalon was even inducted into the WAER Hall of Fame of Syracuse University in 2022.

Brendan Haywood

Haywood is a former NBA player for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He started his basketball career when he was in high school.

Brendan is 7 foot tall and used to play center for his team. He was even an NBA champion in 2011 with the Mavericks.

The New York player played for a total of 15 years in the league. He was affiliated with different clubs in his whole career.

Later in 2015, Haywood ended his career as a player and joined the network as an announcer. He mentioned that he had a smooth transition as he was always interested in watching the games.

He is currently a college basketball announcer for CBS and a co-host and analyst for NBA Radio.

Ian Eagle

Eagle is one of the CBS Sports announcers for basketball. He joined the broadcasting panel in 1998.

He started calling the NCAA basketball and NFL as soon as he joined the organization. Prior to joining the enterprise, he was a TV host for SportsChannel which is now called MSG Plus.

He was also involved as the play-by-play for the New York Jets in 1997. Previously, he was assigned to the pre-game and post-game sessions for the Jets in 1992.

Eventually after his addition to CBS, he was paired up with Dan Fotus in 2010. The duo was voted the second-best media pair in the 2014 NFL season.

Eagle in 2010 served as the caster for the two NBA playoffs games on TNT. Later on before the 2019-20 NBA season, he was announced as play-by-play announcer for The Tuner Network.

Finally, after many events and opportunities, Ian was announced to be the next lead play-by-play in October of 2022. He is the lead for CBS and Turner Sports joint coverage of the NCAA 2024.
