Top high school girl basketball players 2023 are Nunu Agara, Chloe Clardy, Breya Cunningham and Zoe Brooks. Cunningham scored 1,000 points as a freshman.

High school girls basketball season begins in November or December and lasts about 5 months. During those moments many new players make it into the limelight with their extraordinary talent.

Montverde Academy has been one of the best senior schools for female basketball. They are the two-time winner of the Geico Nationals championship.

The number of female players has increased with the top high school girl basketball players in 2022, including Lauren Betts, Kiki Rice, and Janiah Barker.

Girls basketball has always been an attraction for viewers. The craze for basketball among high school girls has increased more recently. Few of them have made a successful career for themselves with their dominant performance in major leagues and collegiate leagues.

1. Nunu Agara

Nunu Agara has been a part of the Class 4A champion Royals that took place in 2021. Agara played as the jersey 24 for the Hopkins High School senior. 

For the 2022–23 season, Agara scored an average of 19 points per game while also pulling down 9 rebounds. It has helped Hopkins to be on the top with the title of undefeated.

Besides, the straight-A student won a gold medal in the 2022 FIBA World Cup which was held in Hungary.

After being rewarded with the Player of the Game Award in 2019 and 2020, Agara has helped to elevate girls high school basketball rankings to the top. The 6-foot-1 player stands as the power forward for the Hopkins.

2. Zoe Brooks

Zoe Brooks is a 5 feet 8 inches tall guard from Plainfield, New Jersey currently enrolled in Saint John Vianney High School.

The freshman has an average of 22.5 points per game, 6.6 rebounds, 5.5 steals, and 4.1 assists per game for Saint John Vianney. 

In 2023, ESPN placed Brooks as the No. 9 player and the No. 4 guard. Brooks participated in the 2023 McDonald's All-American team and the 2023 Naismith Girls' High School All-America Team.

She also played at the 2023 USA Women's Nike Hoop Summit Team. On June 16, 2021, Brooks was selected to be one of the 16 finalists for the 2021 USA Women's U16 National Team.

The Plainfield native's greatest achievement was when she was named the 2023 National Player of the Year. As of 2023, She will join North Carolina State University for her collegiate career as she confirmed through her Instagram.

3. Chloe Clardy

Chloe Clardy is the first girl in school history who has made over 2,000 points in her career. Clardy was ranked the No. 40 player by ESPN for the Class of 2023.

She has accompanied the Wampus Cats in the record of 28-5 and the 6A state championship.

During that season, she made about 24 points per game, six rebounds, and four assists per game. Such an outstanding performance has allowed her to play basketball on scholarship at Stanford.

Following her dominant performance, Clardy has won the 2022-23 Gatorade Arkansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year through Conway High School.

4. Breya Cunningham

Breya Cunningham is a high school basketball star who plays as a center for the University of Arizona. Cunningham played at the U17 World Cup in 2022. 

She has been a member of the inaugural Nike Hoops Summit team in 2023. She won La Jolla Country Day School Freshman of the Year during her high school after completing her first season.

The 6 feet and 4 inches player made an average of 17.3 points per game along with 12 rebounds per game during her high school. During her stay at LJCDS, she was honored with the MVP Freshman award in her freshman year.

Cunningham has played at the 2023 McDonald's All-American and was honored with First Team All-Conference, All-City, and All-State honoree. She has made 1000 points in her high school career and was able to grab 800 boards.

As of 2023, Breya has committed her decision to join the Arizona women's basketball and will continue her collegiate career with Arizona.

5. Audi Crooks

Audi Crooks plays in a center position for the Iowa State Cyclones. Crooks studied at the Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona, Iowa.

The 6-foot-3 athlete has scored 2,734 points as well as grabbed 1,339 rebounds in her senior season. Crooks was considered one of the best high school recruits for the class of 2023. She was ranked No. 42 overall recruit by Prep Girls Hoops, and no. 57 by ESPN. 

Her performance helped to uplift Iowa high school girls basketball rankings being 1A All-Tournament Team Captain twice and a Four-time Class 1A All-Tournament Team member.

One of the greatest individual achievements that Crooks has received is the Iowa Miss Basketball Award in 2023.

6. Kylie Marshall

Kylie Marshall is ranked number 1 in Texas and No. 35 in the nation by ESPNW HoopGurlz. She joined the Aggies on October 12, 2022.

During her career in Lake Ridge, she recorded an average of 21.2 points per game, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. She made it to the TABC 2022-23 UIL 6A Girls All-State Team.

Kylie recorded 2017 game points, which helped to boost the Texas Girls High School basketball rankings.

Marshall was nominated as the 18th-best rookie in the nation due to her proficiency, shooting technique, and ball-handling skills.

7. Jasmine Brown

Jasmine Brown is a senior top guard and 4-star recruit from Illinois. 

Brown topped Example Academy's record for 2022 scoring 19.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 3.2 steals per game. The 21-year-old player was ranked at No. 20 on guard and the No.1 player from the state of Illinois.

The native of Joliet had made some very promising impacts on the sports that have improved the Illinois Girls basketball rankings. Jasmine was invited to play in the U18 USA Basketball National Team Trials that happened in Colorado Springs. 

She received 40 offers across the country. She later revealed that she had signed with Mississippi State and will continue to pursue her collegiate career with the Mississippi.

8. Ashlynn Shade

Ashlynn Shade is the newest member of the UConn womens basketball team. Shade made the confirmation via her Twitter handle on January 21, 2022.

Shade had already won the four Division I pendants including two Big Ten, a Big East, and an ACC before her freshman season began.

Being one of the most competitive players of the class of 2023, she averaged points to 20.9 points per game, including 4.1 assists, and 8.3 rebounds leading Noblesville to a Class 4A state championship.

Ashlynn played for 3 seasons at Noblesville where she scored nearly 1700 points. Her points were considered the highest in Indiana high school girls basketball rankings.

Shade also was recognized for her 2021-22 Gatorade Indiana Girls Basketball Player of the Year. After high school, she joined La Lumiere and was ranked No. 15 in the Class of 2023.

9. Gabrielle Reynolds

Gabrielle Reynolds is Michigan girls basketball top scorer with 25.8 points per game. Reynolds is a two-time All-State guard in Division 1.

Reynolds leads the West Ottawa with assists, deflection, and steals. She has been a starter for three years under coach Paul Chapman. Her performance also has been considered crucial in helping the Michigan girls high school basketball rankings among others.

The 5 feet 10 inches finally committed to the George Washington basketball program excluding various offers from 11 different Division-I programs including Michigan, Northwestern, and Pittsburgh.

Reynolds was awarded twice with the Holland Sentinel Basketball Player of the Year. She is also a two-time all-conference player and a first-team all-state honoree.

10. Arianna Jackson

Arianna Jackson plays as a Guard for Iowa State and is a BCA All-Star Game MVP winner. She scored 14.1 points per game in a season of 2021.

The 25-year-old joined the Cyclone at Iowa State for her improvement in her athletic career. She was the senior who was able to complete her seasons with a 3.59 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Honored with the IGCA All-State honoree thrice along with Four IPSWA All-State selections, Jackson was one on the top of Iowa High School basketball rankings.
