Tallest high school basketball player 2023 are Olivier Rioux, Trent Burns, John Bol, and Dennis Evans. Rioux measures at 7 feet and 6 inches. 

Many players in the field of basketball are advancing their play through high school and hope to get recognized by the NBA. Height is one of the main necessities for a basketball player. In the list of top ten, nine of the emerging players are above 7 feet in height.

In the history of the NBA, Gheorghe Muresan and Manute Bol hold the record for the stupendous height of 7 foot 7.

Boban Marjanović currently holds the distinction in the NBA for being the tallest basketball player with a height of 7 foot 4 inches.

For new players looking for a place in the NBA average basketball player height should be 6 feet or more. Because even in the high school Rim heights are 10 feet or even above that.

1.Olivier Rioux - 7 foot 6

Olivier Rioux is the Guinness Book of World Records holder for the tallest teenage male. Rioux is 17 years old boy from Canada who stands at 7 feet and 5.33 inches.

Rioux is super tall high school basketball player who plays for the Canada U19 team. He has been able to secure 8.3 average points per game, and 10.3 rebound points in his junior seasons. 

Recently Rioux has been completing his studies at IMG Academy, USA. He has a dream of becoming a pro basketball player in the future.

2. Trent Burns - 7 foot 3

Trent Burns is an emerging player for the NBA with an astonishing height of 7 feet and 3 inches. Along with his tall height Burns weighs about 79 kg.

Born and raised in Cypress, Texas Burns has played with AAU Team Houston Hoops (TX). Burns has been studying at Cypress Ranch High School located in Cypress, Texas.

Burns has been moving a lot nowadays which makes him down from four schools, i.e. Missouri, Rice, Tulsa, or Xavier.

Burns has also made his visit to Purdue and Rice. He also visited Texas A&M where he was hosted with an unofficial party. Trent is also planning to visit Ohio State, Penn State, Missouri, and Nebraska.

3. John Bol - 7 foot 1

John Bol stands tall with a height of 7 feet and 1 inch and weighs about 190 pounds. Bol had made a contractual commitment to Ole Miss on July 28, 2023. 

Originally from South Sudan, he stayed in Nairobi in the year 2019 alongside his brother. Later in March 2021, Bol moved to the USA and joined basketball. Bol is a premier frontcourt defender with long arms and unique mobility that a basketball player should be gifted with.

In the year 2022-2023, John played basketball seasons through Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas along with Mokan Elite on the Nike EYBL Circuit.

Bol has been playing as a center for the University of Mississippi which is the best college in the field of basketball prospects with the school club Overtime Elite. He is been trained by coach Chris Beard.

After High school Bol is planning to move to Florida to join the University of Florida. Bol recently said in an interview with 247Sports that the University of Florida has the best program for him. He has a desideratum to be a professional player in the NBA.

4. Dennis Evans - 7 foot 1

Dennis Evans with a shot blocking center with a massive height of 7 feet and 1 inch. 16 years old Evans is about 210 pounds.

Evans is recently completing his studies at Hillcrest High School as a batch of 2023. And has made in commitment to Louisville Cardinals men's basketball on March 12, 2023. Evans is been properly trained by coach Kenny Payne during his seasons at Hillcrest High School.

Evans with 7-6 massive wingspan and a 9-foot-8 standing reach is an embodiment rim protector. During his seasons with Hillcrest High School, he was able to average 14.7 points in scores, 10.6 rebounds points, and 5.9 blocks per game.

Evans played in the 2022 USA Basketball Men’s U17 National Team and was able to win a gold medal at the 2022 FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup.

5. JT Rock - 7 foot 1

JT Rock a prep basketball player from South Dakota has a massive height of 7 feet and 1 inch. Rock has been playing a Center position for Lincoln High School.  

Rock signed an official recruitment offer from Lincoln High School joining the Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball on April 1st, 2023. He is ranked No. 10 by Rivals and also No. 11 by 247Sports and ESPN in the 2023 recruiting class.

In the Top 100 recruit classes in 2024 by the national ESPN, Rock was ranked No. 68, No. 79 by Rivals, and No. 99 by 247Sports. During his recruitment process, Rock was a four-star recruit.

Rock has averaged 18 points per game, 10 rebounds points, and 4.5 blocked shots per game. Rock received a scholarship from Lincoln while he was searching for prep school. He was assisted by Coach T.J. and assistant coach Kyle Green.

6. Aaron Bradshaw - 7 foot

Aaron Bradshaw is a versatile center player with the capacity to protect both the rim and cover the perimeter. Bradshaw has a tall height of 7 feet with 207 pounds of weight.

Belonging to the hometown of Rahway, New Jersey Bradshaw is completing his studies now in Camden High School. He signed an official agreement with Kentucky on October 14, 2022. 

At the time as a junior basketball player, Bradshaw had made an average game point of 8.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks per game all along Camden High's run to a 12th NJSIAA Group 2 state championship.

According to some major recruiting services, Bradshaw has been a consensus five-star recruit. He was even selected as a finalist for the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award. And played for the 2023 McDonald's All-American Boys Game.

Bradshaw has also played for NJ Scholars on the EYBL circuit where he was able to make an average game point of 12.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks points in the game.

7. Makhan Diouf - 7 foot

Makhan Diouf is an astonishing player with a height of 7 feet height and 200 pounds of weight. Diouf plays from the Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Belonging to the town of Scottsdale, Arizona, Diouf is currently a class of 2024 studying at Bella Vista College Prep School. Diouf has still not signed any official agreement with any big clubs. He is recently been playing under the wing of Dream Vision.

Makhan was approached by UCLA in 2024 when he was playing AAU ball with Dream Vision. He has also been approached by USC, Arizona State, Xavier, UNLV, and California.

Diouf has received a scholarship offer from UCLA. And also through UNLV, Xavier University, Washington State University, and Cal Berkeley. Makhan Diouf has also been selected in the Adidas 3SSB Top 24 Forwards.

8. Pape N'Diaye - 7 foot

Pape N'Diaye is a 7 foot high school basketball player with a 195-pound weight. N'Diaye plays in the center position from Las Vegas.

N'Diaye is a senior team member of the Red Rock Academy Varsity Basketball. He is with the class of 2024 at Trinity International School.

Although N'Diaye has gained a lot of offers from various clubs he has still not declared where he plans to go. N'Diaye has received an offer from Utah State during 2024 Trinity International.

9. Khaman Maker - 7 foot

Khaman Maker has a height of 7 feet with a body weight of 215 pounds. Maker plays in the Center position for the school team Valley Prep Silver Miner.

Maker's hometown is in Las Vegas. And recently has been studying as a class of 2024 in Desert Valley Prep.

Maker was featured in an article about “intriguing players at the Tarkanian Classic Prep Division”. This article explained well about his fitness, his strength and his being a raw force ready to be shaped.

After the Tarkanian Classic Prep Division, Maker even got an offer from Missouri. According to the on3 report, there is an 88.3% chance of Khama making it into St. John's Red Storm. He has also received offers from Brigham Young University, Columbia University, and St. John’s University.

10. Reece Potter - 6 foot 11

Reece Potter has a height of 6 feet and 11 inches with a body weight of 210 pounds. Potter's hometown is Lexington, Kentucky.

Potter is a freshman at Lexington Catholic High School. Currently, he is playing with RedHawks. Potter was able to make an average of 7.0 points and a team-high 6.3 rebounds per game in sophomore.

AAU coach has also mentioned Potter being an excellent shooter. During the summer in his 16U team, Potter attempted 50% of the total three-point shooters for the team. Potter has gained a Division I scholarship from Youngstown State. He has received scholarship offers from Saint Louis, Xavier, and Western Kentucky.
