Mike Brown - Head Coach
Mike Brown commenced his journey with the Sacramento Kings on May 9, 2022. Brown has been awarded NBA Coach of the Year in 2023.
In his first season, Brown led Sacramento to a 48-34 record and their first playoff spot since 2006.
The former player, Brown began his coaching journey in 1997 as an assistant coach for the Washington Wizards under Bernie Bickerstaff. He worked as an assistant for the Indiana Pacers until the end of 2005.
The 31st Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown previously coached the Golden State Warriors, who reached the NBA final in 2022 making them the winner against the Boston Celtics.
Winning that game made the third championship for the Warriors and 4th NBA title for brown as an assistant coach.
In 2005, for the first time, Brown was appointed as a head coach replacing Brendan Malone for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Mike helped the Cleveland Cavaliers reach the NBA finals in 2007.
He helped the Cavs to win 61 games in the 2009-10 season. The success of the Cavs landed him with an award for the NBA Coach of the Year in 2009.
