Oldest WNBA player 2023 are Diana Taurasi, Candace Parker, Kristi Toliver, and Alysha Clark. Taurasi is the senior active player at 41 years old.

WNBA player age in 2023 at an average is 27.3 years. Nancy Lieberman is the oldest player to ever play in the WNBA league, she played till the age of 50.

Younger players are preferred to a team in the WNBA. The foreign players must be above 20 and Players of the nation must be above 22 to compete in the league.

At NBA the average age of the player is 26.1 years. The difference in age in both leagues is not so vast. Both of the leagues prefer younger player for their franchises.

Diana Taurasi is still considered to be among the best WNBA players and is aged 41 as of 2023. She was born on 11th June 1982 in California.

She is currently playing with the team Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA. She was drafted in the WNBA by Phoenix in the 2004 WNBA draft.

Taurasi was selected in the 2004 WNBA draft. She won the 'WNBA Rookie of the Year Award' on her debut season for the team.

The Significant achievements of her career in the league were the WNBA championships in three different years, in 2007, in 2009, and the last one in 2014.

Diana has contributed five Olympic gold medals to the nation in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics.

2) Candace Parker - 37 years

Candace Nicolone Parker is the second oldest player aged 37 as of 2023. She was born on 19 April 1986 in St.Louis, Missouri.

She is considered one of the best in the WNBA and her records prove the claim. Parker won both Rookie of the Year and MVP of the season in 2008 her season of debut.

Playing for Sparks until 2020, Nicolene bagged a WNBA championship title in 2016 and was the MVP of the WNBA in the 2013 season. After Joining Chicago Sky in 2021 she bagged another WNBA championship title in 2021.

She achieved a gold medal for the country in the 2008 Olympics, defeating Australia and adding another title to her lustrous career.

3) Kristi Toliver - 36 Years

Kristi Renee Toliver is another oldest player aged 37 years as of 2023. She was born on 27 January 1987. 

Renee is also an assistant coach for an NBA team ' the Dallas Mavericks'. She won two WNBA titles in her career with the LA Sparks in 2016 and the Washington Mystics in 2019. 

She was nominated for the most approved player in WNBA in 2012 and even was on the list of All-Stars for the years 2013, 2018, and 2019.

Toliver played for the Slovakian women's National basketball team in the EURO Basket 2015 qualification. The team managed to qualify for the tournament and managed to get the 9th position of the tournament.

Renee returned to the Sparks at present as a free agent.

4) Alysha Clark - 36 Years

Alysha Angelica Clark is 36 years old and is the fourth oldest women's basketball player. She was born on 7th July 1987.

Clark was recruited in the 2010 WNBA draft by the San Antonio Silver Stars. 

In 2018, She managed to start for all the games of the Storms and the same year Storms bagged her WNBA title. Angelina had another title in 2020 and was chosen for the all-defensive first team of the year.

Back in the Israel league, Clark was a three-time Israel champion in the years 2015, 2016, and 2023. She is currently associated with the Las Vegas Aces as their forward.

5) DeWanna Bonner - 36 Years

DeWanna Bonner was born on 21 August 1987 in Fairfield, Alabama, and is 36 years old. She is an American-Macedonian professional basketball player

Bonner was selected by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2009 WNBA. Her team, Phoenix won the WNBA championship in her debut season where she contributed 13 points in the season. 

She was inducted into the list of All-stars five times in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023. DeWanna won the title 'WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year' for three consecutive years in 2009,2010 and 2011.

From the start of her WNBA career, She was associated with the Phoenix but was traded to the Connecticut Sun in 2020 as a draft pick.

6) Yvonne Turner - 35 Years

Yvonne Turner was born on 13th October 1987 in Omaha, Nebraska. She is 35 years old as of 2023.

Turner started her career with the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA 2017. In her debut season, she managed to play for 12.8 minutes in her 34 appearances, averaging 5.1 points per game. She scored 18 points in Minnesota her season high in the year.

In a single year 2022, she signed with three different teams including a hardship contract with Minnesota Lynx on 18 February 2022.

Later Yvonne was released and she signed a contract with Atlanta Dream on June 23, 2022.  Yvonne finally returned back to Phoenix Mercury in 2022 signing a hardship contract with them on the 8th of August 2022.

7) Epiphanny Prince - 35 Years

Epiphanny Prince was born on 11 January 1988 and is 35 years as of now. She is a native of New York City.

She started her career at 'Chicago Sky' after being picked in the 2010 WNBA draft. She contributed about 42.7% field goal Percentage in her 19.6 min average appearance she had at a game.

Prince managed to appear in 34 games in 2010 but was traded with a player from New York Liberty in 2015.

Epiphanny later joined Seattle Storm in 2020 where she won her first and only WNBA championship title. In 2021, she managed to win the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup champion title with the Storm.

She is now with the New York Liberty for the 2023-24 WNBA season.

8) Sami Whitcomb - 35 years

Sami Whitcomb is 35 years old now and is ranked the eighth oldest player in the Women's basketball league.

Being undrafted in the 2010 WNBA draft, she signed a training camp contract with the Chicago Sky. Whitcomb later joined Seattle Storm ahead of the 2017 season.

In her debut game, she scored three points, followed by a career-high 22 points before halftime in the next game.

Whitcomb won two titles with the Storms in 2018 and 2020. She was even listed in the All-WNBL First Team in 2016,2017,2018 and 2023. 

She joined the New York Liberty through sign and trade in the year 2021 and stayed till 2022. Later she returned to the Storm in 2023.

9) Courtney Vandersloot - 34 years

Courtney Vandersloot is 34-year-old professional women's basketball player. Vandersloot was born on 8th February 1989 in Kent city in Washington.

She was picked in the 2011 draft by the Chicago Sky. She joined the All-Star team in her debut year following her dominant performance.

Vandersloot managed to play all 34 games for the team, starting 26 of them. She was awarded the West Coast Player of the Year the same season.

Courtney won the WNBA championship title in 2021 with the Sky and was in WNBA All-Stars in 2011, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023. She has been playing with the Chicago team since her debut season.

10) Elena Delle Donne - 34 Years

Elena Delle Donne is ranked the 10th Oldest player in the WNBA aged 34 years.

She was selected by the 'Chicago Sky' as the second player of the draft during the 2013 draft.

Donne won the 'Rookie of the Year Award' in her debut year. In 2015 she won the WNBA Scoring Champion award and MVP award.

After joining the Washington Mystics in 2017, She managed to win her first WNBA championship title in 2019.

Delle was awarded with WNBA MVP award in the 2019 season following her dominant performance. Currently, she is playing for the Washington Mystics.
