NBA Media Day 2023 will be held on October 2 for Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma while the Dallas Mavericks will host on September 29.
Although most teams host the media day event on the traditional date, which is a day prior to training camps opening, teams are free to set their own dates.
Media Day is an annual event where all the NBA teams, coaches and players gather to meet with the press and share their thoughts about the upcoming season. This is also time for fans to see the new team members and find out what the team hopes to achieve in the coming year.
NBA players also unveil their new signature shoes and apparel on that day. They use this occasion to make a fashion statement and show off their latest gear.

Chicago Bulls Media Day
Chicago Bulls announced that they will organize their media day on 2nd October 2023. It will be held at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
With the new NBA season on the horizon, the Bulls have sorted out their plan for the coming league campaign which day will present on the media day. They will face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening fixture on October 25.
Besides, the training camp is designated for two days before the start of the preseason games, which begin on October 5th. The Bulls will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, to commence a week-long remote preparation session for the impending 2023-24 season.
The Bulls are expected to perform better this campaign after a disappointing Play-in exit in 2022-23. For that, they have added a few new faces, which the team will discuss on Media Day.

Dallas Mavericks Media Day
Dallas Mavericks have their Media Day planned for September 29 at the American Airlines Center. The Mavs are heading to Abu Dubai for their NBA preseason.
While every franchise is scheduled to host their NBA media days on October 2, Dallas and Minnesota Timberwolves are the only two teams with exceptions.
Dallas training camp starts on September 27 which means that players are allowed to report to the team at 11 AM local time on September 26.
In the past, the Mavericks used to have their media day at the beginning of training camp. However, this time, they are holding it later because they have two extra practice days before their games in Abu Dhabi.
They will play their first two preseason game against Minnesota on October 5th and 7th in the United Arab Emirates. The Mavs will further play two more matches before beginning their NBA campaign. For Gameweek 1, Dallas makes a trip to San Antonio.
Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said that he is excited about the team's talent and that he believes they have a chance to compete for a championship this season.
Besides, Dallas has brought in a handful of players to strengthen their squad.

Lakers Media Day 2023
The Los Angeles Lakers will conduct their media day on October 2nd. The event will take place at their home arena UCLA Health Training Center, California.
Lakers fans are among the most eager for media day. After all the changes the LA Lakers made during the offseason, fans are really excited to see how the team will line up once the regular season starts.
The team will play against the defending champion Denver Nuggets in the season opener. Thus, they have to be more than ready to face the winning team.
The new season will be LeBron James' fifth with the Lakers, and his eyes will be on winning a championship with the team for the second time.
Another star player, Anthony Davis, who is entering his fourth season with the Lakers, also expressed his excitement for the approaching season.
The Lakers finished 7th in the Western Conference in the 2022-23 and were lucky enough to clinch a playoff spot through Play-in tournament. However, they suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to the Nuggets in the Conference Semifinals.

OKC Thunder Media Day
Oklahoma City Thunder will have their media day for the 2023-24 season on October 2nd at Paycom Center.
Head coach Mark Daigneault and players will speak to the media at 11 AM Central Time.
Following the media day, a training camp for the City Thunder commences on October 3rd. They kick off their preseason on October 9th with a game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Then, their regular season begins on October 25th when they travel to United Center to play against the Chicago Bulls.
Similar to their opening day opponent, Oklahoma was eliminated from the Play-in games after losing to Minnesota by 95-120. For the third year in a row, the Thunder did not make it to the playoffs since moving to Oklahoma City.
During the media day, Daigneault will discuss the team's intent to not slip off playoff berth for the fourth consecutive time. OKC has added 6 players to their roster so far during the offseason.

Portland Trail Blazers Media Day
Portland Trail Blazers is set to hold their annual media day at Moda Center on October 2nd. Portland is entering its 54th NBA season.
Chauncey Billups, the head coach will be reporting the event from the Rose Garden. He will probably give insights on how the team is doing and their preparation ahead of the new campaign.
All the players have to report back to their teams before the training camp starts on October 3rd. The Trail Blazers have an opening preseason match date with the New Zealand Breakers on October 10 at home.

Following the conclusion of their preseason tour, Portland will have a maximum of 10 days to organize the team ready for the NBA regular season. They will face the LA Clippers on the opening day fixture at Crypto.com Arena.
Apart from the three draft picks Scoot Henderson, Kris Murray and Rayan Rupert, Portland has not made any additions through trade or free agency. Meanwhile, Drew Eubanks left the club to join Phoenix Suns in July 2023.
Celtics Media Day 2023
Boston Celtics are expected to hold the media day on the same date as the rest of the teams, but they have not issued an official statement regarding this yet.
They organized the annual event for the previous season on September 26, 2022. Celtics Wire of USA Today Sports has posted all the pictures that were captured during the 2022-23 Media Day.
