Adrian Griffin is the current head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. Griffin was appointed on the 5th of June 2023.
Prior to joining the Bucks as their mentor, the former player was serving as the assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors. He helped the Raptors to win their championship title in 2019.
Griffin started his coaching career in 2008 with the Bucks. Primarily he was appointed as the assistant for the team and was with the franchise until 2010.
After leaving the franchise, the small forward mentored for a total of 4 different NBA teams. He was an assistant coach for all those 4 clubs before joining back to the Bucks.
Not only that, But Adrian has quite some international exposure too. He was among the assistant coaches who led the country to their 2014 FIBA World Cup victory.
The roster managed to earn a gold in the tournament. The team included some now-famous NBA players like Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving and James Harden.
It is Griffin's past performance that has attracted the bucks to him. The head coach was reportedly offered a salary of 4 million per annum in the multi-year deal with the franchise.
Not only as a mentor but the coach has quite impressive achievements as a player too. He started his professional journey in the USBL in 1996.
He even played in other major leagues of the country like the CBA and NBA. Griffin was named the MVP of the 1999 finals in CBA and even helped the team to the title in the same year.
Adrian was the MVP of that whole season too. However, most of his personal records are only in CBA.
The present head coach ended his NBA career as a player in the Milwaukee Bucks after he was traded to the team on the 13th of August 2008.
