Pete Maravich - 30
Pete Maravich is an all-time high free throw scorer in a college basketball game. He made 30 out of 31 throws while playing against the Oregon St. men's team.
Referred to as Pistol Pete, he started for the Louisiana State University Tigers men's basketball program during college from 1970 to 1980.
He led the NCAA Division I with an all-time high points of 3,667, averaging 44.2 points per game. Pete is among the youngest players inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987.
The Aliquippa, Pennsylvania native, Maravich played for Atlantic Hawks, Utah Jazz, and Boston Celtics during his ten-year career with the NBA.
He was considered among the best ball handlers and top offensive creative talents of all time. In 1996, he was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary team.
