Chaifetz Arena bag policy does not allow backpacks, purses, or duffle bags. Only permissible bags measuring less than 12x6x12 inches are allowed inside.
It is the official home to the Men's and Women's Basketball teams of Saint Louis University, known as Saint Louis Billikens. Referred to as the Jewel of Midtown, it is a multi-purpose indoor arena that became operative in 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri, with a whopping cost of $80.5 million ($109 million at the current rate).
The arena is named after Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, a University alumnus who donated $12 million to Saint Louis University as a naming gift. Saint Louis University owns this innovative venue, while OVG360 privately manages the facility.
Chaifetz seats about 10,600 guests and has hosted a wide range of events, incorporating concerts, national sporting events, family shows, and many more. Some notable figures to perform in this venue include Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, The Killers, Patti LaBelle, Brad Paisley, etc.
Chaifetz Arena Policy
Chaifetz Arena has regulated specific safety guidelines, including a cashless venue and a clear bag policy. The platform encourages guests to bring no bags.
The venue primarily urges the attendees not to bring bags. However, if necessary, guests are required to meet the following criteria to bring a bag.
- Clear PVC, plastic, or vinyl bags smaller than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
- Clear Ziploc plastic bag with a gallon capacity
- Purses or clutches smaller than 7.5 x 5.0 inches
- Diaper bags per child
- Bags containing essential medical items that can't fit into a clear bag.
The arena issued these guidelines to ensure quick entry and the safety of the guests. Each person, including children, is allowed one clutch, one clear storage bag, and one clear approved bag.
The smaller purse or clutch isn't required to be transparent. However, it is subject to inspection.
The arena doesn't entertain guests with bags such as purses, coolers, backpacks, binocular or camera cases, cinch bags, briefcases, luggage, duffle bags, computer bags, drawstring bags, or large totes.
If found with these bags, fans will be requested to either dispose of them at the gates or revert to their parked vehicles with the item. The security won't inspect those items.
Alongside the bag policy mentioned above, the arena restricts the following items inside the facility.
- Weapons of all kinds
- Professional cameras with detachable lens
- Tasers or pepper sprays
- Outside beverage or food
- Video/Audio recording devices like Spectacles, iPad, GoPro, Google Glasses, tablets, etc.

- Banners, signs, and flags smaller than 11 x 17 inches and relevant to the event, with no explicit contents and unattached to a stick/pole
- Bracelets, studded belts, chains, or masks
The arena holds the right to restrict any item that could pose harm to the public or the artists in any manner. Also, guests who aren't willing to comply with the policies mentioned above are subject to be ejected or handed over to proper authorities by the arena management and security.
Likewise, the venue upholds a no no-entry policy for all events, with few exceptions for all-day events like dance/cheer competitions or sports tournaments. Guests, however, are required to get approval from the Event Manager or Guest Experience Manager and have their tickets scanned before exiting and upon re-entering.
Also, the arena offers a designated smoking zone near section 112 outside Gate E. Smoking elsewhere is restricted, and you are subject to be ejected.
Chaifetz Arena Seating Chart Concert
The Chaifetz seating chart comprises a single reserved floor section with the stage ahead of sections 118-122. The floor is usually split into 26 rows of seats.
The single reserved floor has rows labeled 1-37 that offer best-in-class enjoyment during concerts because of being closer to the stage. The floor features an aisle break every ten seats to accommodate comfortable passage.
The concert seating arrangement varies per event, typically incorporating one or more General Admission (GA) regions and a VIP Pit per arrangement. The GA Pit or Floor is divided into sections or rows and does not feature any reserved spaces or seats.
Hence, to be as close to the stage as possible, your best chance would be to arrive early and stand at your desired spot on the GA floor. Besides the floor section, Sections 103 and 115 offer the best Chaifetz Arena seating view when the stage is set up on the venue's West end.
Alongside the floor, the arena seating arrangement is divided into lower and upper sections. The upper section features suites as well, while the lower region is closer to the stage and offers the best-in-class view from almost all sections.
The lower region is made up of Sections 101-122, featuring about a maximum of 23 numbered rows of seats in most sections. The seats in each row are arranged in such a manner that you would be required to move right to left to access higher-numbered seats.
Likewise, the upper region on the arena seating chart comprises Sections 201-222, situated 20-35 rows from the stage. Each section in this region incorporates up to 15 numbered rows of blue chairback seats, with entrance provided at the front row.
Last but not least, the venue features suites for premium amenities and prime views. The Suites can accommodate around 30 guests at a time and deliver a VIP experience.
You can rent the Suite and get access to event tickets, food and beverage credit, parking passes, lounge seating + cushioned chairs, premium-level restroom access, and a dedicated suite attendant.
Chaifetz Arena Parking And Tickets
The Chaifetz Arena features a variety of parking areas around it. Options available through the arena comprise Laclede and Compton/Olive Garages.
The venue offers several uncovered and covered parking regions around its vicinity. The availability of those regions depends upon the event, while the parking spaces are subject to your arrival time.
The Olive/Compton Garage is accessible through 230 N Compton Ave and 3338 Olive St. for general and premium parking, respectively. The premium parking guarantees the first-floor region.
Furthermore, you can access the Laclege Garage through 3642 Laclede Ave. It is best recommended to plan your arrival an hour before the event for ample parking space and check-in time.
In addition, all the arena garage parking is cashless, and hence, it only accepts significant debit or credit cards as payment forms. Also, you can access the location of rideshare drop-off and pick-up through 3520 Laclede Ave, St. Louis entrance.
Likewise, the Olive/Compton Garage features accessible parking through the Olive St. entrance. A specified ADA pick-up and drop-off region is located on the venue's east side, on Compton Ave, near Gate C, moving south.
It would be best if you planned your arrival to avoid traffic. We recommend taking the edge of Grand Blvd (to Lindell Blvd) or Jefferson Ave (to Olive St.) as an alternate passage to avoid hefty traffic during event days on Market St/Compton Ave.
Tickets to all Chaifetz Arena events can be bought online at Ticketmaster or in person at the Box Office. The Box Office is positioned straight inside Gate B, on the venue's north side, facing the softball field of the SLU.
You can access the box office Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. but are subject to be affected by holidays and changes per event. In addition, tickets for parking spaces for each event could also be purchased online beforehand.
The arena limits each customer to 8 tickets per event, and features discounted tickets to large groups occasionally on select events. The group tickets often incorporate savings on ticket prices, block seating for the group to be seated together, and receded convenience charges or fees.
You can get the tickets to the St. Louis Billiken Men's Basketball game on November 6 on Ticketmaster at the lowest of $21.20 inclusive of service and order processing fees. The best seat in Section 103 can be purchased at the lowest of $160.70 for the match.
